The size of the EatSmart Precision Elite allows mixing bowls and other larger containers to be placed onto it for a successful weighing result, but despite its big platform, scale is still very compact and does not occupy too much space on the kitchen worktop. The larger platform also allows big dinner plates to be more stable when placed on it.
The larger scales may have a little inaccuracy in tiny measurements. Therefore if you want exact precision for your baking needs then the smaller scale will deliver more accurate results. Measuring a light ingredient in a heavy glass bowl placed on this scale will not give as accurate reading as when the light ingredient was placed in a light plastic bowl.
The tare function allows food to be piled on top while the plate is still on the platform - this saves time and effort and also gives accurate measurements of the different food items.
